My Personal Recordings & Archive
I'm pleased to offer these personal recordings to students and enthusiasts of Ceol Mor. All these recordings have been digitized from cassette tapes. Some were made by me at the time of any given lesson and others (most of those recordings where I was directed by John MacFadyen) from Harold Casbourne, a great fan and friend of MacFadyen. There's also audio from Andrew MacNeill made by him at his home in Colonsay, on practice chanter and pipes. Included here, too, are snippets from Robert Reid, R.U. Brown, Willie MacLean and others. You will see Donald MacLeod is prominent, as is Captain John A MacLellan.

As you might expect the quality is very uneven coming, as it does, from cassette tapes made during the 1970's. I do hope you enjoy them. When it comes to my understanding of piobaireachd I owe these great master players much - if not everything.

Wishing you the best in piping,
